We never intended to show Gari when he was a puppy. But he grew up into a very good looking Yorkie and I wanted to show him to get an opinion of a dog show judge. I was visiting dog shows in Ljubljana, Slovenia every year since 1983 and in June 1986 we showed Gari for the first time on CACIB show in Kranj, Slovenia. He was not used to dog shows or ring trained but he behaved great and was very proud.

He got excellent and I wanted to show him some more. Because he was a very natural boy and didn't like his coat to be tidied up, we have not wrapped his coat, but left it fell naturaly. So his coat was never so long and glamourous you see on show yorkies nowadays. But he had the most beautiful yorkie head, good body structure, level back and very strong and powerful movement. He was running like a big dog and always wanted to show off. He was a natural show-off born yorkie and he liked the attention. He never won CACIB, but he won enough CAC titles to become Champion of Ex-Yugoslavia. We showed him on couple shows in 1986, 1987 and 1988 but then we stopped. Still we visited dog shows in Slovenia, Croatia and Italy just to see and admire other show dogs.

Gari's show career restarted in veteran class when he was 9 years old. He was twice Best Veteran In Show, once Second Best Veteran In Show and once Third Best Veteran In Show. He was last shown when he was almost 13 years old.
