Swedish lapphund is among the healtiest dog breeds in the world. Allergies, eczema, eye or ear inflammations are uncommon in the breed. There is a small incidence of hereditary eye disease - PRA, hips scores are good as are patella checks. The stud services and subsequent whelpings are usually easy.
