Dear Nati,

Thank you so very much for wonderful 14 years and 7 months which we have shared together. You were the sweetest part of our lives and we all miss you very much. We still cannot believe that you have really gone from us because we still feel your presence everywhere but we will try to remember the happy times we spent together and the sweet memories we made.

I will never forget the warm sunny day in June in northern Sweden, when I first laid my eyes on you my little black witty baby. From the first day you were a very independent and self-assured baby who wanted to play hide and seek games but inside of you soft and tender soul was living. Even though you are not here with us anymore we will always remember you as our gentle and sweet teddy bear girl. You got your name after famous actress Nathalie Wood and you were as bold and beautiful as she was. You were a star in Swedish newspapers, your photos have graced many different calendars, several articles were written about you in various dog magazines. You enjoyed in the lime lights acting on stage with Slovenian models, you continued your flashy career as one of most successful Slovenian show dog girls. You were European champion two times, Veteran World Champion, Vice World Champion, International Champion and Champion of 24 different European countries.

In so many ways you were the first – first Swedish Lapphund in Slovenia and Middle East Europe, first Swedish Lapphund that ever won an agility competition in Slovenia and mother of first and only litter of Swedish Lapphunds in Slovenia.

But the most important role you played in your life was the role of our family member, companion and treasured friend. You were always very outgoing and extremely friendly to all people and you possessed that something extra which made you loved by everyone. You felt well in all circumstances. You were an excellent travelling companion and had no problems with planes, buses, trains, metros and cars of course.
You were our forest queen and queen of nature as you were the happiest girl when you could run freely over vales and dales and you liked chasing small animals – mouses, hedgehogs and squirrels. Sometimes you run after deer but you were also a great herding dog of cows and sheep. You were our charming pixie, always ready for action and always full of surprises.

You loved our children Lana and Tosja very much and you were always very gentle and tender with them. With Tosja you established a special bonding and you two were inseparable friends. When he was sad he came to you, hug you, put his head on your back and you kissed his face and console him. Even when your health started to deteoritate you always walked with a proud carriage of head and wiggling tail if he was holding the leash. You usually slept under his bed and watched over him.

When you were happy you liked to roll on your back and sing and if you wanted a belly massage you jumped on the bed, roll on your back and start singing – after belly massage you were smiling.

You were the most indiscreet beggar at our table and except bananas and paprika you ate almost all kinds of food. Your eyes always melted my heart so you always got many tidbits and for just one tidbit you showed all the tricks you have learnt.

You were such a charming girl who brought so much sunshine, love and happiness into our lives which are now empty after you have gone to the other shore but you must know that you will live in our hearts forever. You will be with me in my heart and as long as you are here in my heart no distance can keep us apart.
